Pikey James McCourt Jr., 46, of Rupert formerly of Erbacon, passed away Monday, September 25, 2023 at CAMC Memorial, Charleston, after an extended illness. 

He was born November 3, 1976 in Webster Springs, a son of Macil Salisbury McCourt Lilly and the late Pikey McCourt Sr.  

Pikey was a 1995 graduate of Webster County High School and worked many years as a manager for McDonalds. He enjoyed being on the water, fishing, water skiing and boating. Pikey loved getting together and spending quality time with family and friends. 

Surviving is his mother, Macil (Wayne) Lilly of Rupert, brother, Bryan McCourt of Erbacon and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. 

Services will be held at 1:00pm Friday, September 29, 2023 at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen, with Pastor Carl Griffith officiating. Burial will follow at the McCourt Cemetery, Erbacon. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 11:00am until the time of service Friday at the funeral home.
