Paul Franklin Greene, 72, of Erbacon, went to be with the Lord on March 4, 2024. He was born in Sutton, August 22, 1951, the son of Olive Moore Greene and the late Eugene Greene.

He was a devoted Christian who let his love for God shine day and night. He attended Halo church where he had a wonderful church family that he loved. Paul was a kind, caring, loving person who was always there to lend a hand. He would give the shirt off his back. Paul loved hunting, especially with his deer hunting crew/family. For many years, he has loved feeding his deer that came daily. So much so that he could feed them by hand and pet them. His family was his pride and joy. Ruths family was his family. He had a captivating light inside him that was contagious and made you want to be in his presence. He always had a silly song or joke to lighten any mood. He was such an easy person to love. He stepped into any role he needed to be to make sure family and friends were taken care of. To know him was to love him.

Surviving, the love of his life, Ruth, who he was happily married to for 51 years; his children and grandchildren who he loved with his whole heart include son Michael (Kenzie) Greene of Braxton Co., WV, and daughters, Jodie (Jeremy) Jones of Burlington, NC, Aubrie and Havannah Greene of Erbacon; grandchildren, Jayden (Gio), Zoey, Isaiah, Gage, Shawn (Amy), Jordan (Lexie); siblings, Jim Greene, Beverly Joliff, Sharon Boggs, and Becky Young; his loving and caring Aunt, Anna Mae, and many, many more friends and loved ones.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 16, 2024, at 1:00 pm at Morris Funeral Home in Cowen, WV with Pastor Ben Stone officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 12:00 pm until the time of the service at the funeral home. Paul’s wishes for cremation have been honored.
