Charles Lee “Chip” Martin, 80, of Webster Springs passed away July 5, 2024, at Nella’s Nursing Home in Elkins, WV with his daughters by his side. Chip was born on February 16, 1944, in Cherry Falls, WV, the son of Clara Mitchell and Martha Debbie.

He served in the United States Army, married Lois Winkler, and had two daughters.

Chip owned Martin Sanitation for over 40 years. He also owned the Quality Mart in Cherry Falls for several years. He enjoyed serving his community. He was a Mason in the Addison Lodge #116 for 50 years.

Chip retired to spend time on his farm. He loved gardening and taking care of his cows.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Roxie Hamrick. Left to cherish his memory are his two daughters, Tammy (Jeff) Anderson and Tina Farley both of Webster Springs; his two grandsons Martin (Adraina) Anderson and Coy (Maria) Anderson; one great grandson Chance and another great grandchild on the way; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen with Rev. Clarence McCourt officiating. Burial will follow at WV Memorial Gardens in Calvin, WV. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6:00pm until 9:00pm, Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at Morris Funeral Home.
