Imogene Barger Green, 92, of Cowen, passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Webster Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Cowen. She was born January 13, 1925 in Eskdale, WV, a daughter of the late George A. and Brida Kelly Comuzie.

Imogene retired from the State of New York’s Mental Health System. She was a member of Eastern Star #145, the Pythia Sisters, and the Hospital Auxillary. She was a Rosie the Riveter and the first female jury foreman in Webster County.

She was a Methodist

Imogene is survived by her children David (Connie) Barger of Charleston, Sam (Sandra) Barger of Cowen, and Toni Cutlip of Nebane, NC; Brother Frank Comuzie and sister Sally Greene. Grandchildren: Keri Barger, Jeremy Stewart (Mike Fowler), Lorin (Jeremy) Cohen, Solomon (Chrystal) Cutlip, Darci Barger and Jill Barger; Great grandchildren: Gage Snodgrass, Joseph Cutlip, James Cutlip, Olivia Dotson, Lily Cohen, and Holland Cohen.

In addition to her parents, husbands Robert Barger and Sylvester Green, son Richard Allen Barger, brothers Eldridge Comuzie, and James Comuzie, and sisters Helen Griffith and Alice Irvin preceded her in death.

Services will be held Sunday, September 10, 2017 at 4:00pm at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen with Pastor Clarence Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the Givens Cemetery, Upper Glade.
