Delmas Gene Cogar, 74, of Grafton, passed away Monday, June 5, 2023 at his residence after an extended illness. He was born October 13, 1948 in Barton, a son of the late Eldridge and Madlyne Cogar.

Delmas was a U.S. Army Combat Veteran having served during the Vietnam War. He then started a 35 years career in the construction industry. He was a member of the V.F.W Post #3738 and enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with family and friends.

Surviving is his loving wife, Janette M. Cogar, children, Anthony Walters, Christopher D. Cogar and Bryon Adam Cogar, brother, Delbert Cogar, sister, Anna Lee Jakowenko, grandchildren, Kendall Cogar, Kennedy Cogar, Hailey Cogar, Hannah Cogar, Patricia Cogar, Braxton Cogar, Ashton Knotts, Brandon Shivener, Christopher Cogar, Megan Cogar, A.J. Walters, Andrew Walters, Kyle Walters and Brayden Walters.

Graveside service with full military honors conducted by American Legion Post #62 will be held at 1:00pm. Saturday, June 10, 2023 at the Union Cemetery, Parcoal with Rev. Cofer “Bud” Cochran officiating.
