Friends may call from 11:00am until time of service Saturday at the church.

In keeping with Collis wishes he chose to be cremated after the service.

Collis Landon Bickford, 65, of Pool passed away with his family by his side on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at the Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston after a five year battle with cancer.

He was born February 14, 1953 in Nicholas County a son of the late Bill and Alice Foster Bickford Conard. Collis was a 1972 graduate of Nicholas County High School, and a retired coal miner with over 39 years of service having last worked for Alpha Energy. He was a member of the New Beginnings Worship Center. Collis enjoyed camping, fishing, riding his motorcycle and loving his grandchildren.

Surviving is his loving wife, Judy Bailey Bickford, children, Brian (Misty) Cogar of Summersville, Chickie Bickford of Oak Hill, Ashley Whittington of Pool, step-father, John Conard, brothers, Willie (Karen) Bickford of Clay, Ted (Deejay) Bickford of Nicholas County, Charlie (Wilma) of Nicholas County, sisters, Ivy (Bob) Dorsey of Nicholas County, Cora Roger of Florida, grandchildren, Josh, Katie, Jessica, Kia, Amber, Alex, C.J. and Melody, great-grandchildren, Miken, Easton and Bentley and many nieces, nephews.

In addition to his parents, sister, Margaret Bickford preceded him in death.
