Amos Doyle Wamsley jr., 71, of Williams River, passed away suddenly Sunday December 24, 2017. He was born May 15, 1946 in Richwood, WV, son of the late Amos Sr. and Donna Mae Dobson Wamsley.

Doyle was a US Navy Seabee Veteran of the Vietnam War, heavy wheel mechanic, having worked for many years for various garages. He loved to fish, farm, mow grass, cut hay, driving his 1966 truck and helping others. Doyle was also a 1964 graduate of Cowen High School and was always setting things up for the annual family 4th of July picnic.

He is survived by his wife Jean Wamsley, daughter Molly B. Cunningham of Fairmont. Brothers Ronnie Wamsley of Myrtle Beach, Gary Wamsley of Albemare, North Carolina, Dale Wamsley of Conway, South Carolina, Randy Wamsley of Cowen and Kevin Wamsley of Williams River, sisters Kathy Bennett of Conway South Carolina, Tarra Carpenter of Colonial Heights, Virginia, Sue Thompson of Williams River, and Cindy Mick of Summerville, WV.

In addition to his parents, brothers Paul Wamsley, Brian Wamsley and sister Kay Woods proceeded him in death.
