Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen with Rev Keith Williams and Pastor Brandon Moll officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 12:00 pm until the time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at WV Memorial Gardens, Calvin, WV with full military honors conducted by American Legion Post 62 and Masonic Graveside rights conducted by Camden Lodge 107.

Donnie Roger Frazer, 77, of Craigsville, passed away Thursday, December 21, 2023, at his residence with his loving family by his side. He was born July 14, 1946 in Craigsville, a son of the late Fred John and Dana Lorraine Sparks Frazer.

Roger was a 1964 graduate of Cowen High School. He was a retired UMWA coalminer having worked for Pittston coal, Evergreen and he retired from Fola coal. Roger was a member of the Knight of Pythias 205 of Cowen and the Camden Masonic Lodge 107. He loved spending time working on his 1936 Truck and is 1966 Chevelle, as well as, hunting, telling jokes, drawing and painting. He is well known for doing school logos and was an avid Webster County High School sports fan. Roger attended St. Luke’s Methodist Church in Craigsville.

Surviving is his loving wife, of 54 years, Roberta Damewood Frazer; children, Scarlett (Sammy) Short of Camden on Gauley and Aaron (Tammy) Frazer of Cowen; brother, John (Brenda) Frazer of Alum Creek, WV; sister, Connie (Randall) Wilson of Geneva, OH; grandchildren, Kyle (Jordan) Bennett of Camden on Gauley, Kody (Johnna) Short of Fairmont, Chad (Keisha) Bennett of Bolair, Josie (Eithan) Stone of Upper Glade, and Shawna Frazer of St. Albans; great grandchildren, Taylor, Ryder and River Bennett, Peyton, Denny, Sophie and Isaac Short, Zuri Bennett, and Elliott and Oliver Stone and many other relatives, friends, coworkers and lodge members.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Shirley June Frazer and brother, Delmas Frazer.
