Russell Lee Wright, an avid mechanic and resident of Cowen WV, passed away unexpectedly on Friday September 11, 2020, due to a motorcycle accident, he was 54 years old.

Russell is survived by his children, Melissa and Steven Miller of Texas, William (Ray) and Roxie Wright of Webster Springs, Christine (Nicole) and Bobby Movens of Cowen, Austin Wright of Cowen, and Alexis Wright of Cowen.

Russell is also survived by his Mom Shirley Wright of Cowen, Sisters, Patricia and Earl Gordon of Parkersburg, Connie Garrison of Camden On Gauley, Mary and Johnny Martinez of Texas, and Lucy and Steven Myers of Cowen.

Grandchildren, Cody and Dominic Alsup of Texas, Jackson Wright of Cowen, Brandon O’Brien of Cowen.

Russell was born November 22, 1965 in Parkersburg WV, to Shirley and the later Jerry Wright. He loved being a father. His hobbies were mudding, camping, hunting, he enjoyed working on his home, and being with his friends he called family. Russell was a member of the Brothers of The Wheel. Russell enjoyed being a Secret Santa every year.

Russell’s wishes were to be cremated and no services. In lieu of flowers please donate to his favorite charity, Toys for Tots. Russell wanted a huge party, so we will be having a large cookout on Sunday September 20, 2020 from 2pm to 6pm, at his home on Williams River Rd. everyone is welcome. The large party will follow at a later date.
