Robert Lawrence Bruffy Sr, of Pleasant Ridge, passed away December 11, 2020, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 15, 1949 in New York, NY, a son of the late Anna Clutter Bruffy and James Lawrence Bruffy of Parcoal, WV.

Robert was a member of Emanual Assembly of God Church and was a retired coal miner. He enjoyed spending time with his family hunting, fishing, camping and farming.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Janice Steele Bruffy. Daughter, Jennifer (Mark) Sandifer and their children, Jordan, Julius, and Jaden Sandifer; Daughter Alice (Chris) Sheley and their sons, Zachery and Wyatt Sheley; Son, Robert Lawrence Bruffy, Jr and his wife Rhonda (Germillion) Bruffy. Sisters: Elaine (Doyle) McCoy, Shirley (David) Miller and brother Nixon Bruffy. He will be missed by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be held Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen with Rev. Marty Cowger officiating. Burial will follow at McAvoy Cemetery, Pleasant Ridge. Friends may join the family from 1:00 pm until time of service Tuesday at the Funeral Home.
