Nawasa Evelyn Coffman, 73, of Cowen, passed away Monday, September 19, 2016 at the Bowers Hospice House surrounded by her loving family.

She was born June 6, 1943 in Summersville, a daughter of the late John and Genevia Dorman Hinkle. Nawasa worked many years in the local grocery stores. She enjoyed working with her flowers, gardening, yard work and spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends. She was a Baptist by Faith.

She is survived by her loving husband, Randy Coffman, sons: Mike Heck of Indiana, Kevin (Rose) Heck of Camden on Gauley, Jeff (Libby) Heck of Camden on Gauley, sister, Deloris Heck of Cowen, brother, John Hinkle of Cleveland, Ohio, grandchildren: Jeffrey Heck, David Heck, Zeke Heck, Alex Nulter, Brandon Nulter, Michelle Hemmer, and Ashley Heck, great-grandchildren: Zack Nulter, Zoey Nulter, Stefan Hemmer, Jakob Nulter, Tryce Hemmer, Henley Hemmer, and one on the way.

In addition to her parents, a daughter, Mary Heck, preceded her in death.

Service will be at 1:00 pm, Friday, September 23, 2016 at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen with Pastor Eddie Groves officiating. Burial will follow at West Virginia Memorial Gardens, Calvin, WV. Friends may call from 11:00 am until time of the service Friday, at the funeral home.
