Michael Dodrill, 61, of Craigsville, passed away Sunday April 10, 2022 at Summersville Regional Medical Center. A son of Ralph Dodrill and the late Elizabeth Estelle Cogar Dodrill, Michael was born August 21, 1960 in Summersville.

Michael spent many years working on the family farm and earned a reputation of being called the Corn King. He enjoyed singing, cooking, dancing, raising others spirits when they were down, and he was always making jokes and loved making people laugh.

He is survived by his life companion Shonnie Brinson of, Craigsville, children, Amy Bennett of, Cowen, Treston Dodrill of, Craigsville, Neva Dodrill of, Barboursville, Taylor Brinson of Craigsville, siblings, Patricia Prokop of Kirtlands Hills, Ohio, and Julie Kehr of Painesville, Ohio, and his granddaughter, Paytron Vance of Cowen.

Along with his mother he is preceded in death by his uncle Ray Dodrill.

Michael’s wishes for cremation have been honored with a private family service to be held at a later date.
