Mary Elizabeth McLaughlin, 70, of Williams River, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born September 14, 1948 in Richwood, a daughter of Wanda “Betty” Sibert Wamsley and the late Eugene Wamsley.

Mary was a 1966 graduate of Cowen High School and a graduate of the Academy of Careers and Technology in Beckley as an LPN. She worked for PAIS for many years as a home health nurse. She enjoyed reading, quilting, crocheting, playing cards and spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are her children, Joe Wamsley of Cowen, Randy Wright Jr. (Kelly) of Mt. Lookout, and Christy McLaughlin of Williams River, siblings, Freda (Kenny) Hollandsworth of Cowen, Nova (Dave) Bender of Grassy Creek and Warren Wamsley of Williams River, Grandchildren Craig (Brandi) Wright, Kylie Wright, Katrina, Katelyn, and  Kimberly Wamsley and Trace Durham, Great grandchildren Kade and Conner Wright  and many other family and friends.

In addition to her father, son JJ McLaughlin preceded her in death.
