Elaine Hamilton, 63, of Webster Springs, passed away Saturday, March 25, 2017 at home after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born May 11, 1953 in Richwood, WV, a daughter of the late Edgar and Bessie Ann Peyett Damewood.

Elaine retired from Nicholas-Webster Home Health, where she was a beloved Registered Nurse. She enjoyed crocheting and reading. She was always helping others out of the kindness of her heart and treated everyone who came to the house as family.

She is survived by her husband, Wallace Hamilton; sons: Brian Scott Hamilton of Craigsville, WV, Michael Burton (Sheila) Hamilton of King George, Va., and Jason Gray (Diana) Hamilton of Charleston, WV; daughter Heather Lynn Cutlip and fiancée Michael James Phares of Webster Springs, WV; brother, Edgar Earl (Peggy) Damewood of Camden on Gauley, WV; sister, Roberta Ann (Roger) Frazier of Craigsville; grandchildren: Ashley, Cole Hamilton, Kaiden Cutlip, Lillian Cutlip, Paige Hamilton, Noah Hamilton, Kira Hamilton, Kent Hamilton, Quinn Hamilton, and Colton Phares; great-grandchild, Nikolai Jordan and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Services will be held Friday, March 31, 2017 at 8:00 PM at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen, with Elder Bob McElwain officiating. Friends may call from 6:00 PM until time of service at the funeral home. In keeping with Elaine’s wishes, cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Webster Fitness Center, PO Box 66, Webster Springs, WV 26288.
