Elizabeth Ann Cogar, 62, of Cowen, passed away Friday, January 1, 2021 at JW Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, after an extended illness. She was born December 1, 1958 in Webster County, a daughter of the late Denzil Carl and June Green Cogar.

Elizabeth was a homemaker and she enjoyed working puzzles, watching television and collecting Knick-knacks and spending time with family and friends.

Surviving are her children, Anthony Charles “Tony” Cogar of Ohio, Jonathan Vines of Cowen and Felcia Kessel and fiancée Thomas Smith of Glenwood, WV, siblings Diane Carpenter of Cowen, Denzil Keith Cogar of Michigan, Sharon Kaye Ringsborg of Virginia, Terry Cogar of Webster Springs and Larry Cogar of Cowen, grandchildren, Mercedes Cogar, Anthony Charles Cogar II, Isah Cogar, Nathanial Cogar, Juliana Kessel, Angel Smith, Kizzy Smith and great-grandson Calvin.

In addition to her parent’s brothers, Donald Cogar and Charles “Chuck” Cogar preceded her in death.

Elizabeth’s wishes for cremation have been honored with no service at this time.
