Dorotha Mae Woods Hall, 75, of Cowen, passed away Friday, April 20, 2018 at Hidden Valley Care Center, Oak Hill, WV, after an extended illness. She was born November 28, 1942 in Webster County, a daughter of the late One Woods and Lillie Newsome Woods.

Dorotha was a homemaker and enjoyed fishing, traveling, playing bingo and spending time with family and friends.

Surviving are her children: Shery (Jeff) Bowman of Birch River road, Rex (Cindy) Wright of Dennison Run Road, Kenneth “Joe” Wright of Cowen, James “Jr” Mathes and companion Carol Hoover of Upper Glade and Phyllis (Merideth) Hoke of Dennison Run Road. Sister, Bettie Lightner of York, Pa. Grandchildren: Josh (Tasha) Bowman, Kia Wright, Brianna Wright, Joseph Wright, Brittney Jones, Michael Ellison, Travis Hoke, Kayla Hoke, Dakota Hoke and Ryan Hoke. Great-grandchildren, Abigail Bowman, Dakota Jones, Ayden Jones, Kiley Ellison, Gavin Hoke and Devin Hoke.

In addition to her parents, brothers Wilbert Woods and Dennis Woods and sister Goldie Dowdle preceded her in death.

A Memorial Service will be held at 8:00pm Friday, April 27, 2018 at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen with Chaplain Jim Dyer officiating.
