Service will be 3:00pm. Friday, March 2, 2018 at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen with Pastor Pat Greene officiating. Burial with Military Graveside Rite conducted by American Legion Post #62 will follow at the Givens Cemetery, Upper Glade. Friends may call from 1:00pm. Until time of service Friday at the funeral home.

Densil Lee Heck, 79, of Thomas a resident of Courtland Acres Nursing Home, formerly of Cowen went home to his Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 25, 2018 at WVU Ruby Memorial Hospital.

He was born August 2, 1938 in Braxton County a son of the late John and Kate Claypool Heck, also preceding him in death we’re his loving wife Virginia Heck, son, Homer Taylor and brother, Paul Heck Sr.

Densil was a graduate of Cowen High School, a U.S. Army Veteran and a retired U.M.W.A. coal miner with over 30 years in the mines.

Left to Cherish his memory are his children, Phyllis (Adam) Kus of Parsons, Anna Heck and Charles (Stephanie) Taylor both of Hambleton, sisters, Anna Mae Miller, Mary Margaret Vanscoy and brother Junior Heck all of Cowen. Grandchildren, Christopher n., Ronnie Custer, Jackie Custer all of Ohio, Angela Sailsgiver of Cowen, Paul Heck Jr., and Jonathan Heck of Parsons, Wesley and Trevor Taylor of Elkins, Jeremy Taylor of Memphis Tennessee, Brooke (Justin) Sharp, Brittany (Becca) Taylor and Skyla and Avery all of Hambleton. 15 great grandchildren and special niece Libby Arthur and nephews, Jeff, Kevin, Mike Heck and Mark Miller.
