Darrell Loyd Jones, 87, passed away on Saturday April 17, 2021 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley West Virginia. He was born June 11, 1933 in Dyer, West Virginia, a son of the late Nathan Harrison Jones and Madgie Ellen Roberts Jones.

Darrell was a coal miner, with many years in the coal fields. He loved deer hunting, bass fishing, spending time with his kids, grand kids, and great grand kids. He enjoyed the great outdoors, using his metal detector, and watching for airplanes to fly over.

He is survived by his loving wife Judy, three daughters, Fonda Strader of Richwood, Jennifer Jones, Crystale Jones at home, granddaughter Savanah (Andrew) Eubank, Tiffany (Eddie) Clark, grandsons Cody (Katelyn) Ramsey, David Ramsey, Ezra Strader, seven great grandkids, and one on the way.

He was preceded in death by his still-born twin sons, Darcey, Darrell Jr., three brothers, Fred Roberts, Gerald Jones, of Upper Glade, and Ferlie Jones, of Cowen, four sisters, Edith Wright, of Cowen, Lillian Smith of Upper Glade, Barbara Bega of Virginia, Bethel Vance of Culloden.

He was a very loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, he will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
