A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm Sunday, March 28, 2021 at the Miller Family Cemetery, Glade View, West Virginia, with Brother Larry Armentrout officiating.

Daniel E. “Dan” Miller, 81, of Cowen, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 16, 2021, at the Louis A Johnson VA Hospital, Clarksburg, after an extended illness. He was born September 24, 1939 in Lewistown, Pennsylvania, a son of the late Earl and Mary Whisler Miller.

Dan retired from Leslie Lumber Company with 20 plus years of service, he also helped build the first road into Rock House. Dan loved the outdoors, farming, pitching horseshoes, hunting, fishing, gardening, butchering and spending time with his family. Dan was featured in a West Virginia hunting magazine for killing a huge 16 point buck. Dan was a United States Army Veteran. He loved to sit and talk with friends, family and anyone who stopped by. He lived his life to the fullest, Dan will be sadly missed by many.

Surviving is his loving wife Charlotte Miller, his children David D. Foor and his companion Chrissy of Cowen, Ellen E. Malcomb of Cowen, Earl E. (Sandy) Miller of Camden on Gauley, Eddie E. Miller and companion Amy of Cowen, siblings, Walter (Myra) Miller of Sommet, Pennsylvania, grandchildren, Teresa, (Chris), Nannette, Robert, Bubby, Daniel, Emanual, (Teresa), Kerri, (Aaron), Lorene, James, Mathew, Michelle, (Ryan), and Alicia, (Matt), great-grandchildren, Sophie, Bryson, Emily, Tuesday, Boston, Casey, Sadie, Charlotte, Annah, Connor, Colton, Brentley, Kristian, Zoey, Kamryn, Preston, Easton, Pailyn, Kaison, Alyson and Riley Grace on the way, daughter in laws, Shirley Foor, Kathy Hoover, son in law, Homer (Stacey) Malcomb and many other extended family and friends.

In addition to his parents, children, Ethel Miller, Emily Culp and baby boy Miller, siblings, Robert Miller, Nancy Ellen Ritchie, Mary Ethel Spencer, and Sarah Morgan preceded him in death.
