Service will be held at 11:00am Friday, October 2, 2020 at the Upper Glade Presbyterian Church with Rev. David Shaffer, Linda Dyer and Larry Armentrout officiating. Burial will follow at West Virginia Memorial Gardens, Calvin. Friends may call from 10:00am until the time of service Friday at the church.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the Upper Glade Presbyterian Church P.O. Box 74 Upper Glade, WV 26266.

Charles “Bud” Armentrout, 90, of Upper Glade went home to his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at his home surrounded by family. He was born February 6, 1930 at Arcola, a son of the late Charles H. and Laura Christine Utt Armentrout.

He was the owner of the Cowen Builders Supply for over 20 years and he was a retired UMWA coal miner of over 42 years from Island Creek Coal and Gauley Mountain Mining. Charles was a Deacon and an Elder of the Upper Glade Presbyterian Church for over 60 years. He enjoyed hunting, golfing, and playing setback. He was an avid golfer and bowler. He taught both the youth and senior Sunday School Classes and was the founding member of the first Webster County Work Camp. Bud enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and dog Nellie on the farm.

Surviving is his loving wife, Sandra Duckworth Armentrout of Upper Glade, children, Sue (Micheal) Waugh of Canvas, Cheryl (Jean-Louis) Norga of Cowen and Paul (Karen) Armentrout of Montgomery, siblings, Betty Stanley of Gladeview, Mike (Barbara) Armentrout of Cowen, Cathy (Frank) Addington of Winfield, sister in laws Freda Armentrout of Cowen, Eddie(Roseann) Duckworth of Missouri and son in law Ronnie Rodebaugh of Gladeview, grandchildren, Eugene Rodebaugh, Jay Dee Rodebaugh, Jodi Beth Pelfrey, Genenette Roberts, Billie Jo Hall of Webster Springs, Cassandra Lea Norga Moore, Bryson Armentrout, Spencer Armentrout and Britt Armentrout great-grandchildren, Logan Andrew Rodebaugh, Addie Brooke Rodebaugh, Ethan Berry, Kaitlyn Berry, Jayde Roberts, Jozey Roberts, Jylean Roberts, Jesse Roberts, Alyssa Hall, Dalton Hall, Kaiden Zeller, Elecia Zeller, Jacob Rodebaugh, Cooper Rodebaugh, and Dylan Peoples and many other extended family and friends.

In addition to his parents, daughter, Sandra Lynn Rodebaugh, sister and brother in law Wilda (Alton) Williams, brother, Bill Armentrout, brother in law, Okle Stanley, sister in law, Polly Duckworth Chambers, and father and mother in law, Paul and Billie Duckworth preceded him in death.
