Carol Louise Welch, 69, of Cottle, passed away peacefully Thursday, December 30, 2021, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 15, 1952 in Richwood, a daughter of the late James and Letha Juanita Tharp Wolverton.

Carol was a homemaker and a strong Christian by Faith. She enjoyed fishing, quilting, canning, spending time with her family and her K-9 companion Walker.

Surviving is her loving husband, Gary Welch, Daughter, Juanita (Ed) Selman of Upper Glade, siblings, Dana Morris of Little Birch, Gail Helber of Glade View and Steve (Kay) Wolverton of Erbacon, grandchildren, Letha Mae Selman of Cowen, Russell Selman of Cowen and Alexis Dawn Selman of Cowen, great-grandchildren, Mason Parker, Hayden Parker, Lucas Bork and brother in law, Jake Lyons.

In addition to her parents, sister, Dorene Lyons and brother, Jimmy Wolverton and brother in law, George Helber preceded her in death.

Services will be held at 2:00pm Sunday, January 2, 2022 at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen with Pastor Craig Williams officiating. Burial will follow at the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Cowen. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 12:00 until the time of service Sunday at the funeral home.
