Service will be held at 2pm Thursday May 11, 2023 at Morris Funeral Home Cowen with Pastor Tim Painter officiating. Burial will follow at the Big Run Cemetery Diana. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 12pm until the time of service Thursday at the funeral home.

Judith Ann Johnson, 68 of Mt. Nebo, WV transitioned into Heaven on May 6, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.
Judy was born in Webster Springs, WV on Feb 9, 1955 to William Bradley Barbe and Doris June Townsend Barbe. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother.
Judy was a 1973 graduate of Webster Springs High School and a 1988 graduate of Glenville State College earning a Bachelor of Arts in Education. Upon graduation she taught in the Webster County school system until she retired in 2015. Judy had a passion for teaching and she loved her students, many of whom she remained close with over the years.
Judy was a faithful servant of the Lord and impacted many lives during her time on earth, being an active member of Charity Baptist Church in Mt. Nebo, she started her day by studying God’s word. No matter the circumstances, she always had a smile and an encouraging word for whomever she came in contact with.
Judy enjoyed traveling and meeting new people, going on beach vacations with her family, where one of her greatest joys was watching the sunrise, working with her honeybees and flowers, but most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Left to cherish her memory are her wonderful parents, Bradley and June Barbe of Diana, her loving husband of 36 years, Rick, daughters, Kristy (Jerry) O’Loughlin of Buckhannon, WV, Katie (Mitchell) Williams of Mt. Nebo, WV, son, Blair (Sheila) of Craigsville, WV, sister, Robyn (Mike) Hamrick of Webster Springs, WV, grandchildren, Chase and Brock Lewis, Brandon Johnson, Kenzie and Brentley Williams.
She was preceded in death by her brother Glenn Barbe.
