Services will be held at 3:00pm Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen with Pastor Doug Martin and Pastor Craig Williams officiating. Burial with full military honors, conducted by American Legion Post # 62, will follow at the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Cowen.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 1:00 until the time-of-service Saturday at the funeral home.

Ralph Edward Miller

Ralph Edward Miller, 94, of Cowen passed away, after a short illness, on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at his residence, with his family by his side. He was born on January 28, 1931, in Cowen, a son of the late William Edward and Hazel Helen Jarvis Miller.
Ralph was a 1949 Graduate of Cowen High School. He was awarded a Golden Horseshoe in 1945 and was an Allstate football player in 1949. He then went to work for the B&O, Chessie and CSX Railroads. He spent most of his career working out the Cowen depot. Ralph was a U.S. Army Veteran surviving during the Korean War. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cowen. Ralph enjoyed raising cattle, gardening, farming and most of all his family. He was always helping others in their time of need; Ralph was a true gentleman.
Surviving are his daughters, Marilyn Perrine of Craigsville and Rhonda (Rick) Hayhurst of Cowen, sister, Millie Edwards of Westerville, Ohio, grandchildren, Amy (Brian), Lisa (Adam) Knight, Mathew (Crystal) Hayhurst, Kevin (Jennifer) Perrine and Stacey (Homer) Malcomb, great-grandchildren, Grant, Keaton, Owen, Bella, Emerson, Natalie, Valerie, Wren, Willow and many other extended family, friends are left to mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents, his loving wife of 62 years, June R. Miller, brothers, Leon Miller, Robert “Bob” Miller, Fred Miller and Joe Miller preceded him in death.
