Michael Joseph Lovely

Michael Joseph Lovely, 53, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family at his home on Williams River May 3, 2025, after an extended illness. Michael was born on September 5, 1971, in Webster Springs the son of Larry and JoAnn Lovely.

Michael was an old soul who found pleasure in the simple things in life. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and trapper. He enjoyed riding his Harley, rebuilding old vehicles, drag racing, cooking, and antiques. Michael was an excellent carpenter, but his love and talent for autobody work became his career.

He is survived by his father and mother, Larry and JoAnn Lovely of Williams River, Cowen, WV, sister, Angela Bowyer of Midland, NC, sister, Sarah Nichols of Williams River, Cowen, WV, nephew, Frank Bowyer, Jr. of Midland, NC and niece, Olivia Ann Marie Davis of Williams River, Cowen, WV. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Gilbert and Jeannine Thomas and his paternal grandmother, Georgia Metz.

A private family service will be held at the Hickman Cemetery on Williams River at a later date.
