Harold Cliford Cochran, 78, of Curtin, passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Webster County Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. He was born January 26, 1939, in Curtain, a son of the late Thurman and Iva Brooks Cochran. He was a retired welder from Inland Steel with over 36 years of service. He was s US Army Veteran and a Methodist by Faith. Harold enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and doing body work on vehicles. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Kay Lipscomb Cochran, son, Barron Cochran (Angie) of Jasper Alabama, granddaughter Tiffany Cochran of Hammond, Indiana, great granddaughter Mariah Cochran of Hammond, Indiana, sister Louise Welborn of Charleston, WV, special niece Connie Brooks Morris, stepdaughter Vickey Stevens of Merrivell, Indiana, Kathy Michaell of Cedar Lake, Indiana and family friend Kathy Long of Hammond, Indiana, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, brothers, Hillard Cochran and Pete Cochran and sister Eleanor Ramsey preceded him in death.
