Judith Ann Canada, 81, of Cowen, passed away peacefully Monday, February 7, 2022 at WVU United Hospital Center, Bridgeport, surrounded by her children and family after a short illness. She was born July 14, 1940 in Buckhannon, a daughter of the late Kenneth and Bernice Cochran Jarvis. Judy was a former nurse’s assistant for many years at Webster County Memorial Hospital. She loved camping, traveling, shopping, going to the beach and Disney World. Judy was a Christian by Faith and enjoyed going to church. But the apple of her eye was her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. Surviving are her loving children, Katherine (Ronald) Rose of Cowen, Donna Murphy of Ohio and Teddy (Gidget) Canada of Cowen, sister, Joann Perdue of Cowen, grandchildren, Jesse, Magan, Andy, Vera, Dylan, Teddy, Brayden and Audreonna, along with several other great and great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Judy will be sadly missed by all. In addition to her parents, daughter, Patricia Ann Murphy, brothers, Richard “Dick” Jarvis and David Paul Jarvis preceded her in death.
