Michael Glen Russell, 67, of Calvin, WV passed away tragically July 2, 2020 from injuries received in a motor vehicle accident. He was born August 6, 1952 in Annapolis, Maryland, a son of the late Glen and Wanda Frazier Russell. Mike was a 1970 graduate of Nicholas County High School and attended WV Tech. He was a retired Federal Mine Inspector. He was a member of AM/FM Lodge #107 and the Helping Hands on Wheels Motorcycle Club. He was active in the Civil War Reenactment group. He was a former Marshall Arts instructor, Sunday School teacher and a Baptist by faith. Mike enjoyed golfing, riding his Harley, and fishing. He loved people, helping others and was a known prankster. Michael is survived by his wife Rhonda Russell, children Michelle (Carl) Stroud of Hickory, NC, Megan Marlowe of Hickory, NC, Aretta Taylor of Erbacon, Adrian Ramsey of Erbacon, and Asia Ramsey of Erbacon. Sister Terry (Randy) Long of Canvas, Grandchildren: Elizabeth Pletcher, Andrew Russell, Emily Cooper, Zoe Stroud, Jacob Stroud, and Great grandson Bob Pletcher. Also passing was his daughter and son-in-law Jasmine and Andrew Morris and granddaughter Gracie Taylor.
