Cecil Arden Sholes

Cecil Arden Sholes, 61, of Craigsville, passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2025, after a short illness. He was born on June 26, 1964, in Gary, Indiana a son of Harold “Butch” Sholes and Frances Hickman Sholes.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years Charlotte Sholes; father, Harold “Butch” Sholes; mother, Frances Sholes; brother, Phillip Sholes and lots of extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Cecil Earl Sholes, and Irene Sholes; maternal grandparents, Arden and Geraldine Hickman, and father-in-law, Albert “Jack” Crislip.

Cecil worked in the lumber industry for over 30 years. He enjoyed Hunting and fishing.

Services will be on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Morris Funeral Home in Cowen with Keith Williams officiating. Burial will follow at the Alex Williams Cemetery on Cranberry Ridge.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 1:00pm until the time of service on Sunday at the funeral home.
