William Leon Armentrout

William Leon “Bill” Armentrout, 57 of Cowen, passed away Monday, July 25, 2016 at WVU Ruby Memorial Hospital.

He was born November 20, 1958 in Richwood, WV the son of the late Vernon and Rose Hammons Armentrout.

He was a maintenance worker at SMR Technologies with over 25 years of service.  He was a former member of the Oddfellows. He loved to hunt, fish and spend time in the outdoors.  He also loved spending time with family, friends, and his dog Bruno.

He is survived by his wife Karen Taylor Armentrout, son Justin William “Bruno” Armentrout of Cowen. Brothers, John (Charlotte) Armentrout of Cottle, Larry (Martha) Armentrout, of Cowen, Luke Armentrout of Summersville, Gale Armentrout, Bruce Armentrout,  and Mark Armentrout of Cowen. Sisters Betty Snyder of Chicago, Il, and Becky (Allen) Bess of Atlanta, Ga,

In addition to his parents, brother Lee Armentrout preceded him in death.

Services were held Friday, July 29, 2016 at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen, WV with Rev. Marty Cowger officiating. Burial followed at WV Memorial Gardens, Calvin, WV.

Services were entrusted to the care of Morris Funeral Home.
