Warren David Wamsley, Sr.

Warren David Wamsley, Sr, 78, of Williams River, Cowen, WV passed away on April 4, 2025. He was born on October 17, 1946 in Richwood, WV the son of the late Eugene (Gene) and Wanda (Betty) Siburt Wamsley.

Warren attended Cowen High School. He was previously a logger and coal miner. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, listening to music and playing his guitar.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Tabitha; sister, Mary Wamsley McLaughlin; and nephew, J.J. McLaughlin.

Surviving are his sons David (Dennette) Wamsley, Michael (Julie) Wamsley, Scott Wamsley, Kerry (Roberta) Wamsley and Kurt Wamsley; twelve grandchildren, Brandon (Brandi) Wamsley, Brent Wamsley, Michael (Heather) Williams, Troy Wamsley, Josh Wamsley, Kara Wamsley, Mason Buffalo, Caden Buffalo, Kaya Wamsley, Teagan Wamsley, Devin (Erin) Wamsley, and Carleigh Wamsley; ten great grandchildren, Holden Wamsley, Milo Wamsley, Joshua Wamsley, Lyiah Wamsley, Niklaus Wamsley,

Leilari Wamsley, Nova Jane Eck, Maverick Eck, Finley Wamsley, and Jordan Ward; and sisters, Nova (David) Bender, and Freda (Kenny) Hollandsworth and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Chrissy and Emily from the Cowen Clinic and Webster EMS.

Services will be held at 3:00pm on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen, Burial will follow at the Hickman Cemetery, Dyer. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 1:00pm until the time of the service, Wednesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the funeral home to assist with expenses.
