Virginia Berry Woods

Virginia Berry Woods, 105, of Upper Glade, WV died May 13, 2026.

She was born March 5, 1921, in Skyles, WV and was a graduate of Cowen High School.

She was married for 70 years to Warden Robert (Bob) Woods.  The were proud parents of 3 children, 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob, her parents, Joseph Lewis Berry and Belle Roberts Berry, 5 siblings, and 1 granddaughter.

Virginia was a member of the Upper Glade Presbyterian Church and was treasurer for 32 years.

She was known for being an active member of her church, community, schools, 4-H organization and for being a wonderful and loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, mammaw, grammy, and aunt Ginny.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions in her memory to Upper Glade Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 74, Upper Glade, WV 26266.

Service will be held at 2:45 pm on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen. A gathering of family and friends will be from 2:00 pm until the time of service on Sunday at the funeral home.
