Ulysses G. Crislip

Ulysses G. Crislip, 84, of Craigsville, passed away peacefully Sunday, December 4, 2022, at his residence after an extended illness. He was born March 2, 1938 in Tioga, a son of the late Wibur and Merl O’Quinn Crislip.

He was a retired U.M.W.A coal miner having worked for Sewell Coal Company, Pittston Coal and Crighton #4 for a total of 43 years in the mines. Lis enjoyed working, hunting, fishing, camping, gin-sanging and gardening.

Surviving are his children, Grant Crislip of Craigsville, Shannon Crislip of Georgia, Doug Crislip of Craigsville, siblings, Wilbur, Isabell, Frances, grandson, Douglas Seabolt, special friends, Jerry (Charlotte) Browning of Summersville and many other extended family and friends.

In addition to his parents, siblings, Harold, Louise, Howard and Jim preceded him in death.

Graveside Services will be held at 12:00pm Thursday, December 8, 2022 at West Virginia Memorial Gardens, Calvin, with Pastor Shawn Bragg officiating.
