Terry L Garrison, Sr.

Terry L. Garrison Sr., affectionately known as "Frog," passed away peacefully on January 4, 2026, at the age of 65, surrounded by his loving family in Bolair, WV. Born on September 25, 1960, in Richwood, West Virginia, Terry was a devoted father, brother, and son.

Throughout his life, Terry dedicated himself to a career that reflected his strong work ethic. He spent many years in the coal fields and also worked at the mill for Leslie Lumber Company and Northwest Hardwoods. Known for his unwavering commitment to helping others, Terry took pride in his ability to assist friends and family with their vehicles, a testament to his resourcefulness and generous spirit.

Terry cherished the great outdoors. He found joy in camping, digging ramps, riding his atv and motorcycles especially his Harley, and exploring flea markets and yard sales. Music was another passion, and he entertained friends and family with his remarkable talent of playing spoons, a skill that always drew smiles and laughter.

He leaves behind a loving family, including his mother, Genelda Jann Burgess of Bolair, WV; his son, Terry L. Garrison Jr. (Stacy) of Bolair; brothers Ronnie E. (Donna) Garrison, of Bolair;  Dale R. (Dawn) Garrison, of Belington, WV; sisters Cynthia A. Cogar of Bolair, and Kimberly Redman, of Belington, respectively; and cherished grandchildren, Taylor and Tristen Garrison, along with many extended family members.

Terry was preceded in death by his father, George E. Garrison; stepfather, Don Burgess brother-in-law Eddie Cogar; and brother-in-law Tom Redman, who remain in our memories.

 Celebration of life to honor Terry's life will be at 6:00pm on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Morris Funeral Home in Cowen, with Pastor Doug Martin officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4:00pm until the time-of-service Saturday at the funeral home.

Terry's wishes for cremation will then be honored.
