Shannon Lou Knowles

Shannon Sanson Knowles, 54 of Craigsville, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 21, 1963 in Richwood, WV, a daughter of the late Carmel E. Sr. and Myrtle E. Selman Sanson.

She was a Christian by faith. A homemaker who loved to cook, write gospel music and sing.

She is survived by her husband, Joey Knowles; sons: Jonathon Robinson of Bridgeport and Bradley Knowles of Colombus, Ohio. Siblings: Carmel (Emma) Sanson Jr. of Summersville, Carol Smith of Craigsville, Howard (Margaret) Sanson of Craigsville, Allen (Bonnie) Sanson of Cowen, Marilyn Sanson of Cowen, Brenda Sanson of Camden on Gauley, Rusty (Sue) Sanson of Cowen, Monica (Jimmy) Johns of Craigsville, Wavelene (Don) Ward of Craigsville and Wandalene (Greg) Komorowski of Birch River. Sister-in-law Freda Knowles Fleming of Nicholasville, Ky. Four granddaughters, and many nieces and nephews who will miss her.

In addition to her parents, a brother, Perry Sanson and brother in law Hugh Smith preceded her in death.

Service will be 2:00pm, Monday, June 12, 2017 at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen, with Chaplain Jim Dyer officiating. Burial will follow at the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Cowen.
