Sandra Lynn Robinson

Sandra Lynn Robinson, 76, of Craigsville, WV, went home to be with the Lord and Savior on August 21, 2020 peacefully at her home, from natural causes.

Sandra was a wonderful, loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, neighbor and friend for many years. She was born October 7, 1943 to the late Marshall and late Ada Boggs Carpenter of Cowen, WV. She was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church of Camden-on-Gauley, WV. Sandra was previously employed by Craigsville Floral Gift Shop in Craigsville, WV. and Columbia Wood Products also of Craigsville WV.

Sandra is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years Kenneth “Doy” Robinson of Camden-on-Gauley, her parents Marshall Carpenter and Ada Boggs Carpenter, and her brother Jack Carpenter of Parkersburg, WV.

She is survived by her 3 children, daughters: Brenda Jewell Hammons (Jeff) of Upper Glade WV. Barbara Lynn Beckett (Donald) of Camden-on-Gauley, and her son Kenneth DeWayne Robinson (Derick) of Craigsville. Her dog Chance Trey Robinson who has been with her for 15 years.

She was a wonderful grandmother of 7 grandkids: Alicia Cochran (Jim Bob) of Camden-on-Gauley, WV. Shawn Beckett (Nicole) of Cowen, WV. Kyle Robinson (Kristen) of Craigsville, WV. Matthew Roach (Alisha) of Camden-on-Gauley. Beth Walkup (William) of Tioga, WV. Zachary Beckett of Morgantown, WV. Andre Gray of Charleston, WV. She also had 14 great-grandchildren.

Sandra was also survived by her siblings Jane Pierson of Ohio, Junior Carpenter (Sherry) of Parkersburg, WV. Roland Carpenter (Sharon) of Bolair, WV. Lenora Bean of Cowen, WV. Sue Cutright (William) of Cowen, WV. George Carpenter (Sylvia) of Cowen, WV. Linda Wayne of Cowen, WV., and Cam Carpenter (Autumn) of Cowen, WV.

Services will be held at 2:00pm Thursday, August 27, 2020 at the First Missionary Baptist Church, Camden on Gauley with Rev. Tom Kessler officiating. Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00pm Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen and from 1:00pm until the time of service Thursday at the church. In keeping with Sandra’s wishes, cremation will follow.
