Sabina Ann Maynard

Sabina Ann Maynard, 72, of Cowen, WV, passed away November 8, 2021 at Webster Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following an extended illness. Ann was born January, 11, 1949 in Webster County the daughter of Okey S. and Ilene Goff Wayne.

Ann was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.  Ann worked as a beautician and was a manager at Big Lots and Wal-Mart.  She enjoyed traveling, socializing, drinking coffee and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her sons, Bobby (Charlotte) Mathes of Cowen, WV and Mike Mathes of Eutawville, SC.; sisters, Mary(Phillip) Buford of Sissonville, WV and Kathy Wayne of Summersville; grandchildren: Isaiah, Josie, Josh, Jamie and Ava Mathes.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Rebecca Payne, Frank Wayne, Shirley Turner, and Jimmy Dean Wayne.

Services will be held at 2:30 pm, Friday, November 12, 2021, at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen with Rev. Larry Lovely officiating. Burial will follow at Wayne Family Cemetery, Cowen. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 1:30 pm until time of the service, Friday at the funeral home.
