Roy Ray Roberts

Roy Ray Roberts, 66, of Cowen, passed away Friday, April 14, 2017 at his home. He was born March 31, 1951 in Richwood, WV, a son of the late Arden and Hilda Adkison Roberts.

Roy was Vietnam Veteran serving with the US Army. He was a Cowen High School graduate. Roy was a former coal miner, logger and sawmill worker. His passion was fishing, especially catfishing. He enjoyed hunting, camping and was a NASCAR fan.

He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Stella Sue Hall Roberts, children Roy Lee (April Dawn) Roberts of Bolair and Melissa (Marty) Miller of Bolair, sister Bonnis (Estel) Mullins of Cowen, Grandchildren, Mitchell Rogers, Mara Rogers, Arden Roberts, Jacob Roberts, Kaitelyn Roberts and Martin Miller.

A graveside service will be held Monday, April 17, 2017, at 2:00pm, at the Miller Family Cemetery, Cowen with Pastor Jim Varney officiating.
