Robert Lee Mills, 68, of Mills Mountain passed away on June 28, 2025, after an extended illness at WV Caring in Elkins. Robert was born in Clarksburg on August 2, 1956, the son of the late Lloyd Dorrel Mills and the late Edith Adeline Salisbury.

He was a graduate of Cowen High School, was in the United States Air Force as a ground radio communication specialist and was a previous security guard. He attended the Mills Mountain Church.

Robert enjoyed working in the woods, jigsaw puzzles, crocheting, and collecting dolphins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Jack Mills; sisters, Genevieve Selman and Shirley Wright; nephews, Russell Wright and Delmas Selman; and niece Margaret Selman.

Left to cherish his memory are his sisters Margaret “Geniece” Fletcher and Amanda (Daniel) House; brothers Boyd “Wes” (Willie) Mills, James “Fred” Fredrick Mills, and John Dean Mills; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation of family and friends will be held at Morris Funeral Home in Cowen on Thursday, July 3, 2025, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Services will be held on Friday, July 4, 2025, at 12:00 pm at the Mills Mountain Church with Pastor Doug Martin officiating. Burial with full Military Honors conducted by American Legion Post 62 will follow at the Mills Mountain Cemetery.
