Richard Merrill Clendenin

Richard Merrill Clendenin, 80, of Craigsville, WV, passed away on March 18, 2025. He was born, November 17, 1944, in Beckley, WV, a son of the late James Clendenin and Evelyn Garten Clendenin.

Richad was an Army Veteran and was previously a coal miner for Pittston Coal Company. He was a member of the UMWA.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, James Clendenin, Jr., Lee Moore Clendenin and Marshall Clendenin, and son, William Clendenin.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 60 years, Sharon Clendenin; son, Timothy Clendenin and daughter Jessica (Arlie J.) Hamrick; sister, Pamela (Johnny) Johnston; grandchildren, Kristen Clendenin (Kyle Robinson), Heather Clendenin; and great grandchild, Raelynn Robinson.

A private family burial was held at WV Memorial Gardens in Calvin, WV.
