Rebecca Lee Carpenter

Rebecca Lee Carpenter, 65, of Williams River, passed away on Friday, November 17, 2023 at Webster County Memorial Hospital after a short illness. She was born January 3, 1958 in Richwood, a daughter of the late Robert and Louise Blake Griffey.

Becky was a homemaker and worked the election polls for many years. She enjoyed farming, taking care of her animals, being in the outdoors and raising her children and grandchildren.

Surviving is her loving husband of 49 years, Larry Carpenter, children, Elizabeth (Richard) Ramsey of South Carolina, Margaret (RJ) Bragg of Cowen, Jennifer (Joshua) Matthews of Upper Glade, sister, Sebrina Deal of Ohio, brother, Robert Griffey of Ohio, grandchildren, Cole, Rylee, Gracee, Jaxen, Everley and many other extended family and friends.

Service will be held at 8:00pm Monday, November 20, 2023 at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen with Pastor Larry Lovely officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6:00pm until the time of service Monday at the funeral home. Rebecca wishes for cremation will be honored.
