Service will be held at 12:00 noon, Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen, with Rev. Curt Davis officiating. Burial will follow at the Dave Cogar Cemetery, Sugar Creek. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10:00am until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.

Randy Allen Hines, 66, of Upper Glade, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at Webster County Memorial Hospital. He was born March 6, 1958, in Webster Springs a son of Nancy Cogar Hines and the late Bobby Lee Hines. 

Randy was a retired custodian for the Webster County Board of Education and formerly worked at Monongalia Power Company, Cowen NAPA and the Webster County Court House. He was a 1976 graduate of Webster County High School. Randy enjoyed working on small engines, lawn mowers, gardening, canning and spending time talking with family, friends and folks he just met. Randy never met a stranger. 

Surviving is his loving wife, Sherri Taylor Hines, son, Jeremy Hines of Upper Glade, sisters, Cheryl Dawn (Scott) Ratliff of Heaters, Wendy Jill Hines of Parkersburg, brother-in-law, Mike Taylor of Cowen and many nieces, nephews, friends and co- workers. 

In addition to his father, brother, Rocky Hines and brother-in-law Allan Taylor preceded him in death.
