Phyllis Ann Clevenger Lindsay, 74, of Craigsville, passed after an extended illness on May 13, 2024, at the Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV. She was born December 20, 1949, in Richwood, a daughter of the late George Clevenger and Joyce Butcher Clevenger.
Phyllis was a Jehovah witness, a previous receptionist for Dr. Prendergast, (optometrist in Summersville), and a former member of the Ruritan Club of Birch River. She enjoyed bible study, gardening, flowers, playing farkle, sewing, cooking, camping, fishing, and volunteering at Gerald R. Freeman campground.
Surviving is her husband, Roger Lindsay; children, Teresa (Jeff) Gonzolez of Marietta, OH, Rae (Jean) Neel of Buckeye Lake, OH, Billy Neel of Webster Springs; stepchildren, Stephanie (Roy) Farley, Jennifer McCourt, and Lindsey Neel, all of Craigsville, Kerry (William) Green of Thomasville, NC, and Patricia (Shane) Felver of Greenwich, OH; sisters, Terry, Sandra, Nancy, Lisa, and Mandy; brother, Danny and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, sister, Julie Sill preceded her in death.
