Pamela Rachel Wyatt, lovingly known as Pam, passed away on October 12, 2026, at Peyton Hospice House in Lewisburg, West Virginia, following an extended illness. She was born on December 3, 1951, in Richwood, West Virginia.
Pam was a 1969 graduate of Cowen High School. She devoted many years of her working life to serving others as a dispatcher for Emergency Services, and she also worked with Emergency Medical Services for several years. Through that work, she gave her time and care in ways that reflected a steady commitment to her community.
A Methodist by faith, Pam carried that faith with her throughout her life. She found great joy in the simple and lasting blessings of home and family. She loved spending time with those she held dear, and she treasured her dogs, Tank and Lulu. In her free time, she enjoyed painting, a pastime that reflected her gentle spirit and creative heart.
Most of all, Pam’s life was rooted in the people she loved. She leaves behind her children, Sherri and Larry Thompson, Rob and Missy Wyatt, and Kaleena Wyatt. She is also survived by her brothers, Tim and Sue Cochran and Mike and Sue Cochran. Her memory will be cherished by her grandchildren, Conner, Bethany, Winfield, Emily, and Grady, as well as by many beloved nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, as well as, extended family, friends and coworkers. In each of their lives, Pam leaves the lasting gift of her love, her presence, and the memories they will carry forward.
She was preceded in death by her father, Eddie Cochran; her mother, Wanda Dunlap Cochran; her sister, Diane Forbes; and her brothers, Doug Cochran and Scottie Cochran.
Pamela Rachel Wyatt will be remembered with love for her devotion to family, her years of service to others, her laughter, and the quiet joys that filled her days. Her memory will remain a comfort to all who knew and loved her.
Family and friends will be received for visitation on October 15, 2026, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Morris Funeral Home, 160 Railroad Avenue, PO Box 267, Cowen, West Virginia 26206. Pam’s wishes for cremation will then be honored, and a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
