Naomi Rae Christian

Naomi Rae Christian, 74, of Cowen passed away Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Charleston Area Medical Center, Memorial Division.

She was born November 9, 1942 in Webster County a daughter of the late Ira and Ida Williams Short.

Naomi was a homemaker and a member of Cowen Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She formerly made ambulance runs for the fire department, she enjoyed playing bingo, camping, fishing, yard sales and spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are her children, Henry Ellis Christian Jr., of Cowen, Deloris (Willie) Wright of Bolt, West Virginia, sisters, Sylvia Champ of Camden on Gauley, Annabell Clevenger of Camden on Gauley, grandchildren, Christopher, Wesley, Josh, Randi, Robbie and Vanessa, great-grandchildren, Gracie, Bradan, Emily and C.J.

In addition to her parent’s husband, Henry Ellis Christian Sr., and daughter, Rhonda Christian preceded her in death.

Service will be 11:00am. Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen with Rev. Keith Williams officiating. Burial will follow at the Alex Williams Cemetery, Cranberry Ridge, West Virginia.

Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00pm. Monday at the funeral home.
