Myrtle Alice Holcomb

Myrtle Alice Holcomb, 89, of Camden on Gauley, passed into heaven’s gates on Thursday, November 25, 2021 at Summersville Regional Medical Center after a short illness. She was born October 31, 1932 in Webster Springs, a daughter of the late Burl Chambers and Ada Mary Armentrout Beam.

Myrtle was a former employee of Cherry River Bank and a restaurant owner. She was a member of the Love and Life Fellowship Church and enjoyed traveling, sewing, knitting, crocheting, collecting dishes, going to yard sales and spending time with church family and friends.

Surviving are her daughters, Charlotte (David) Brown of Camden on Gauley, Susan Jarvis of Cowen, grandchildren, Angela, Ronnie and Pam and four great-grandchildren, step-son, Danial Holcomb, Jr., and many other extended family and friends.

In addition to her parent’s, husbands, Irven Mathes and Danial Johnson Holcomb, siblings, Madrel May Hammons, Pauline Mildred Northup, Charles Burl Beam, Daniel Grover Beam, John Jacob Beam, Mabel Pearl Johns, Roselee Virginia Svett, Elmer Earl Beam, and son in law Bill Jarvis preceded her in death.

Services will be held at 12:00pm, Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen with Pastor Larry Lovely officiating.  Entombment will follow at West Virginia Memorial Gardens, Calvin. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10:00am until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
