Milton Floyd Wayne

Milton Floyd Wayne, 83, of Cowen, passed away Monday, November 9, 2020 at JW Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown after an extended illness. He was born August 7, 1937 in Cowen. a son of the late Thurman and Hope Fox Wayne.

Milton was a graduate of Cowen High School and retired after 35 years as a lab chemist for the coal industry. He was a proud U.S. Army Veteran and served as president of the Webster County Fair Board from 1978 to 1983 and he was an active board member at the time of his passing. He and Carol worked many years in the farm crops division at the fair.  Milton was gentle and quiet, always humming. He seemed to move in slow motion even though he was always where he was supposed to be when he square danced with Grammy. He was ornery and smart. He liked to paint and loved nature. He built a grape arbor and planted blueberry bushes in his yard. Milton knew all the types of birds in his yard as well as all the tree types. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Milton is survived by his daughter, Nancy Lynn Miller of Cowen, granddaughters, Melanie C. Pastelak of Red Lion, Pennsylvania and Aubrie H. Walker of Stewartstown, Pennsylvania and many other class mates and friends.
