Mikel Eugene Gregory

Mikel Eugene Gregory, 68, of Craigsville passed away Thursday, December 6, 2018 at his residence. He was born February 10, 1950 in Webster Springs, a son of the late Alexander Owen and Arzana Lynch Gregory.

Mikel was a retired U.M.W.A. coal miner with over 25 years of service, a former town of Cowen police officer and a former employee of Dodd-Reed Funeral Home. Mikel was a proud member of the U.M.W.A. and enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren and his dogs.

He is survived by his loving wife Diana Lowery Gregory, children, Erica Lewis of Cowen, Mira Brown of Cowen, Toby ( JoRachel) Mullens of Baberton, Ohio, Robert Brown of Craigsviile, brother, Mancel Gregory of Webster Springs, grandchildren, Brantlee Lewis, Chandler Lewis, Tray Brown, Danielle Mullens, Shay Mullens, Amber Crandall, Ashley Cunningham, April Cunningham, Brent Mullens, Danika Mullens, 2 great-grandchildren and 2 on the way and several other extended family members.

In addition to his parents, children, Donald Mullens Jr., Shang Brown and son in law Danny Lewis preceded him in death.

Mikel’s request for cremation has been honored and a memorial service will be held at a later date.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 2:00pm, at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen, WV with Pastor Craig Williams officiating. Friends may join the family from 12:00pm until time of service at the funeral home.
