Mary Ann Mcelwain

Mary Ann McElwain, 88, of Clarksburg, WV passed away peacefully on December 7, 2023. She was born on June 13, 1935 in Arcola to the late Jonas Tyler and Desta Carpenter Tyler.

Mary was a Jehovah Witness and enjoyed talking to people about the bible. She loved spending time with her family, baking, cooking and canning. She was previously a glass factory worker for seventeen years.

Surviving is her husband, Robert McElwain; son, Ray Holliday of Cowen; sister, Linda Stickel of Clarksburg; brothers, John Tyler of Stonewood, Thurman Tyler of Jane Lew; grandchildren, Brittany Case, Ashley Annan, Mason Holliday, Misty Holliday; and nieces and nephews, Brock Crow, Susan Tyler, Fredrick Hamrick, Jamie Kitzmiller, Johanna Shaffer, Judy Holt, John Cascarelli, Brian Tyler, James Hamrick and Remona Westfall.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Clifford Tyler, Fredrick Tyler and William Hamrick; sisters, Jean Cascarelli, Karen Shields and Sharon Kearns.

Mary’s wishes for cremation have been honored.
