Loretta Kay Fazenbaker, 60, of Erbacon passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at her home, surrounded by her loving family and friends. She fought a long tough battle and fought longer than anyone expected. Her love of life, famly and friends kept her going, even her doctor called her one tough cookie.

She was born May 13, 1957, at Sutton, a daughter of the late Elmer and Rosie Salisbury Tharp and step father Papa Coombs. Loretta formerly worked in the filing department at Webster County Memorial Hospital, Summersville Regional Medical Center and Columbia Forest Products. She also worked as a security guard at the Juliana Mines and was a graduate of Webster County High School. Loretta was a socializer having never meet a stranger. She loved to hunt and fish. She enjoyed spending time on the internet and just spending time with family and friends. Her joy and laughter was contagious. She brightened the lives of anyone she came in contact with. Everyone has their special story with Monk.

Surviving is the love of her life, husband, Terry Fazenbaker. Their love and companionship is legendary. Children: Matthew and Julie Canada, Cheyanne Coombs, Jeanie and Matthew Spencer and Patrick and Angie Fazenbaker. Brothers: Don and Vickie Tharp, Daniel and Lorraine Tharp, Joe Coombs and Gary Coombs and companion Angie Williams, sisters: Janet and Steve Hall, Carol Harris and companion Ronnie Perrine, and Kathy Wetzel, grandchildren: Her pride and joy that she loved like no other, Elija Canada, Bryce Fazenbaker, Notashia Baughman, Syera Fazenbaker and Terry Fazenbaker, great-grandchildren: Jillian Fazenbaker and Brian Chapman and her constant sidekick Kim Weese, along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.. In addition to her parents, sister, Karen Barnett preceded her in death.

Graveside Service will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Sunset Memorial Park, Erbacon with speaker and special friend Stan Fout.
