Linda Youvone Lawson

Linda Youvone Lawson, 60, of Cottle, passed away Sunday, May 28, 202 at WVU Ruby Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. She was born March 5, 1963 in Summersville a daughter of the late Robert Clyde and Dessie Mae Ward Hammons.

Linda was a homemaker, she enjoyed camping, shopping, playing cards, Mickey Mouse and spending time with her grandchildren. ‘Grandchildren were her world”.

Surviving is her husband, Jimmy Lawson, children, Jimmy W. Lawson of Craigsville, Shirley (Teddy) Osborne of Craigsville, Christina (Jamie) Bess of Craigsville, siblings, Charles “Richard” Williams of Craigsville, Francis Spinks of Craigsville, Betty White of Cowen, Ricky (Mary) Hammons of Craigsville, Robert “Junior” (Crystal) Hammons of Milton, Barbara (Johnnie) Lewis of Cowen, Ralph Hammons of Richwood, grandchildren, Tyler, Austin, Kylie, Addison and Vicky and many other extended family and friends.

In addition to her parents, brothers, Robert Carl Hammons, Roger Hammons and Ray Denzel Hammons preceded her in death.

A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00pm Friday, June 2, 2023 at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen with Pastor Mike Malcomb officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5:00pm until the time of service Friday at the funeral home.
